Advertise headlines of blog posts in your e-mails

Every blogger's dream is to see his blog traffic growing like Google Share value. Blogger's use many ways to give publicity to their blogs. The commons means of free advertising are

  • book marking the blog posts in community sites ( Digg, furl, Indianpad, Netscape, Newsvine, etc..)
  • sending mails to groups like yahoo and Google
  • participating in discussion forums and leaving links of the related posts in discussion threads
  • adding comments (with post links) to other blogs which host similar content

Among all the above said advertising ways, sending mails to user is a very effective way of advertising. The mail advertisement can be made more effective with the help of FeedBurner's Headlines animator.

Feedburner's headline animator widget is used to

"Create and customize an animated banner that cycles through your feed's five most recent items. It's an easy way to promote your content anywhere you can place a snippet of HTML"

This widget code (HTML code) can be embedded in e-mails as a signature. To create a headlines animator for your feed in Feedburner, go to the tab page publicize and select Headlines Animator menu available on the left panel of the window.

Here is the headlins animator which I use as signature in my mails
